Green roof in landscap

Increase your flexibility when planning and make the most of your roof space in green roof projects.

With the latest update to Solar-Planit, green roof systems can now also be planned in both east-west and north-south orientations in landscape format.

The expanded orientation options allow for even more efficient use of the available roof area. Planners benefit from greater flexibility in system configuration and can optimally adapt the layout to the specific roof conditions.

In addition, you can now adjust the row spacing in all planning variants to flexibly maximize coverage or allow for maintenance aisles between the module rows. And best of all: the same components are used for all planning variants.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Select the “Flat Roof” building type
  2. Define “Green Roof” as the roofing type
  3. Specify the desired orientation (east-west or north-south)
  4. Select “Landscape” as the layout type

With this update, planning PV systems on green roofs becomes even more versatile and efficient.

Also new:

The substrate fill height can now be calculated automatically. Simply select a predefined substrate type or enter a custom substrate specification. Based on the dry density and the required ballast weight, Solar-Planit calculates the substrate fill height individually for your project.

Bonus: Every green roof support includes an integrated scale, making it easy to read and verify the substrate fill height at any time.
